Pictured is a caricature of James Joyce that appeared in the 19 November 1922 New York Tribune. Its creator, Stuart Davis, was a well-known early- to mid-century American artist. During his career, Davis exhibited at the controversial 1913 Armory Show, contributed illustrations to The Masses, and had drawings featured in The Dial. We are grateful to Bill Brockman for providing the image.

Pictured above are publicity photos of actors who appeared in "Ulysses in Nighttown," an off-Broadway play presented by Rooftop Productions in 1958 and directed by Burgess Meredith. Zero Mostel starred as Bloom with Carroll O'Connor as Buck Mulligan, Bea Arthur as Bella Cohen, Anne Meara as Mrs. Breen, and John Astin in several small parts, including that of Philip Beaufoy. We are grateful to Robert Bierman for providing the photographs, which were created by the Friedman-Abeles studio.
