The International James Joyce Foundation has issued two calls for papers for panels being proposed for the 2011 MLA Conference to be held in Los Angeles from 6-9 January.  Two different panels are soliciting papers:

Dirt, Desire, Recollection: James Joyce and Virginia Woolf (Collaborative Session)

The  International James Joyce Foundation in association with the International Virigina Woolf Society seeks papers on Joyce for this joint panel.  Please send 500-word abstracts by 12 March 2010 to Anne Fogarty: anne.fogarty@ucd.ie

Joyce and Narrative

Abstracts are invited for the above session.  All aspects of Joycean narrative may be considered including closure, thematics, imagery, narratology, characterization, and the ethics and politics of Joycean fictionality.  Advance inquiries or declarations of interest are welcome.  500-word outlines should be sent by 18 March at the very latest to Anne Fogarty: anne.fogarty@ucd.ie
