The latest issue of JJQ just went in the mail and will shortly be available at Project MUSE.  It includes articles on some fascinating intertexts for Joyce’s work, including Indian stories from penny weeklies, the titillating features of Photo Bits magazine, and the phonograph recordings “Aeolus” and “Anna Livia Plurabelle.”  These are accompanied by three articles on Finnegans Wake, including a fascinating study of the text as an act of compulsive cultural hoarding.  The notes offer a possible source text for the milkwoman’s words in “Telemachus” and a convincing attempt to date at least a portion of the Wake’s action.  You can also find several reports on the Buffalo conference, a dozen book reviews, and even a devilish crossword adorning the cover
