The program for this year’s Trieste Joyce School, running from 27 June – 3 July, is now accessible online. The academic program consists of lectures which are held each morning at the Museo Revoltella as well as week-long seminars, which take place each afternoon from 2:30 to 4:00. Seminars will be held on Dubliners (Claire Culleton), Ulysses (Fritz Senn), Finnegans Wake (Terence Killeen), ‘Contemporary Irish Poetry, including references to Joyce’ (Ron Ewart). The Trieste Joyce School attracts a range of participants: University doctoral candidates, seasoned Joyce readers, budding Joyce enthusiasts from undergraduate level. There is inevitably a splendid mix of ages, nationalities, and talents in Trieste united in the pursuit of broadening and deepening their knowledge of Joyce while soaking up the multicultural atmosphere of the Adriatic city.

Speakers will include:

Joseph Brooker (Birkbeck College, University of London), Eric Bulson (Hobart and William Smith Colleges), Luca Crispi (University College Dublin), Renzo S. Crivelli (Università di Trieste), Claire Culleton (Kent State University), Ron Ewart (Zürich James Joyce Foundation), Joseph M. Hassett (Independent Scholar, Washington), Terence Killeen (Joyce Centre, Dublin), Liam Lanigan (University College Dublin), John McCourt (Università Roma Tre), Laura Pelaschiar (Università di Trieste), Enrico Reggiani (Università Cattolica di Milano), Gino Scatasta (Università di Bologna), Fritz Senn (Zürich James Joyce Foundation), Ira Torresi (Università di Bologna), Janine M.
