2012’s International James Joyce Symposium, entitled Joyce, Dublin, and Environs, will be held from June 10th-16th at the University and Trinity Colleges in Dublin. The Symposium is coordinated by Sam Slote from Trinity College and Marian Eide from Texas A&M University. They are taking submissions for papers related to Joyce, but especially those on copyright, ecocriticism, archives, historical backgrounds, and Dublin and Ireland. Paper presentations should be no more than 20 minutes each and participants are limited to one presentation and one non-panel appearance. Participants must also be current members of the International James Joyce Foundation.
Submit proposals to this email address: firstname.lastname@example.org and include your name, academic affiliation, title of your paper, and a 250 word abstract. The Symposium is also accepting panel proposals. To propose a panel specify the title, names, academic affiliations, and email addresses of all participants, titles of all the papers, and a 500 word abstract detailing the panel’s topic (abstracts for the individual papers are not necessary). Panels are limited to four speakers. The Symposium’s details can be accessed here.
