University College Dublin has announced its 6th annual James Joyce Research Colloquium which will run from April 25th-27th of 2013. As in the past, the Colloquium seeks to “facilitate active exchange between graduate students and practitioners at all levels in the field of Joyce Studies and related areas on the opportunities and challenges of undertaking research on Joyce.” This year, however, the format will be somewhat different. To complement the usual keynote and plenary talks, the organizers have issued a call for three person panels that can treat any topic related to Joyce. Panel proposal are due Friday, February 1st, can be submitted by email, and should include an outline of the panel, abstracts for the individual papers, and brief biographies of each participant including professional affiliations and Joyce-related interests. There is no fee for the Colloquium, but it is necessary to pre-register. To submit or inquire about panel proposals contact Luca Crispi at email@example.com.
